What Harbor is

Harbor is a business software platform that helps developers of AI companion, character and roleplay apps meet chatbot safety and disclosure laws: it analyses conversation turns sent to it, returns required actions, and keeps an audit log.

Data we collect on this website

If you reserve a founding seat we store the details you type (name, email, agency, city, client count, tools used, plan, notes), the time, your IP address and browser user agent, to contact you about Harbor. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this page.

Data processed in the Harbor platform

App developers using Harbor are the data controllers / data fiduciaries of end-customer data. Harbor processes conversation turns, pseudonymous user identifiers, region codes and the resulting compliance actions only on their instructions, to provide the service. Sub-processors: our hosting provider and the classification model providers, listed in each customer's Data Processing Agreement.

Retention of conversation content

By default Harbor stores only the compliance decision, timestamps, region and a hash of the turn; raw message text is retained only when a customer enables evidence retention, for the period they configure.

Retention and deletion

Reservation data is deleted on request or within 12 months if Harbor does not launch. Platform data is retained for the life of the customer account and deleted within 30 days of termination, subject to legal obligations.

You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@shadow-agents.tech.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored on access-controlled servers. Breaches affecting personal data are notified to affected controllers without undue delay.
